The Oakland.pm mailing list has been set up specifically for this group. You are invited to subscribe. To do that go to Oakland List Info and fill out and submit the relevant form. Once you subscribe to the list, you can send mail to the whole list by addressing it to: oakland@pm.org. From the Oakland List Info page you can also:

• change the options on how you receive this list.
• unsubscribe from this list.
• view the archive of old messages.

You are encouraged to post to the list anything you wish that is Perl related. E.g. concerns, questions, suggestions, announcements, successes. Please take "perl related" very broadly.

The Perl Basics Mailing List (PBML) was a mailing list for exploring and learning the basics of the Perl language. It was a spinoff of Oakland.pm. If you are curious about what it was like, you might wish to read the PBML FAQ. However, it is no more, to the best of my knowledge.
