A Glimpse at Perl
Perl on Your MAC (written espcially for MAC Alliance)

Here's some basic info about Perl on a MAC:

• The MAC has its very own version of Perl called Macperl.
  You can embed Apple Script in Macperl.
  See "Macperl: Power and Ease" by Vicki Brown and Chris Nandor
  for more information on Macperl.

• You can do much of the debugging of your web site programs on your MAC
  even though your web site is on a different platform.
  And some of the programs could just as easily do their work on your MAC anyway,
  e.g., a program converting HTML files to a different look and feel.

• You can do other cool stuff on your MAC with Macperl
  and it's way faster than Apple Script.
