You are presented with 9 colored squares. If you click on one of these squares, the current action will be applied to it. For example: at the start, the current action is make whiter, and clicking on a square will make it a bit whiter (unless, of course, it's already white).

You can change the current action. For example, by clicking on +r, you can change the color action to make reder. Then if you click on a color square, it will increase the amount of red in its color (if possible). The current action remains the current action until you change it or click on start over. See the table on the right under Setting the Current Action for more alternatives on changing the current action.

Your mission, should you accept it, is to keep making changes until you are pleased with the resulting colored squares.
