PREPARATION
The StoryStarter (SS) thinks up a Central Character (CC) and describes it to the StoryEnder (SE). The SE - possibly after asking some questions about the CC - thinks up some choices for the High Point (HP) for the Story (ST) to lead up to, and decides how e will decide which one the ST will actually lead up to. The SS is not told about the HP until after play.
ACTUAL PLAY
The SS begins an ST by describing the CC's initial situation. The SE responds by describing the first major change in the situation. (This may not be an action or decision of the CC.) The ST continues with the SS describing the actions & decisions of the CC and the SE describing any other events that impinge on the CC.
At some point, the SE chooses the HP in the manner decided on during preparation. Shortly after the story reaches the HP, the SE declares the game over.
A WARNING TO EXPERIENCED RPGERS:
Using a pre-created imaginary world, while common in many RPGs, does not seem to work well with FateRole. It is not recommended.
