Anna had made a wish to know someone from another planet. Then in a dream, Anna had met a giant teddy bear like creature named Luv. And Luv said he was from another planet. They talked a little, and she hoped to visit with him again sometime.

Earlier, Anna had talked to her uncle Ben about her wish. And now she told him about her dream. Ben listened carefully and then said firmly: "It was a dream! It was not real. It was not really another planet. Your wish has not come true."

At first Anna was cowed by his definiteness. But then she found herself saying: "Well, how do you know for sure Luv is not real?"

Ben got very thoughtful for a while. Then he said: "I don't know for absolute sure. But why should I think he is real? Did you touch him? Can I meet him? Can I even talk to him on the phone?"

Anna realized she didn't touch Luv and that she couldn't bring Luv to meet Ben. She didn't have much reason to say he was real. And then something occurred to her and she found herself saying: "Well, my wish was to know someone on another planet. The planet doesn't have to be real! I never said it had to be real!"

Ben was surprised by Anna's forceful retort. He shook his head agreeing with her.

But Anna continued: "Luv said he was from another planet. And do you know anywhere around here with white ground, red grass, green fish with wheels and all that? I don't think so! I say it's another planet, even if it's not real. And if I get to know Luv, I say my wish came true!" She wanted to add "So there!!", but she didn't because she didn't wish to be mean.

Ben put up his hands and said: "Hey calm down. I'm not arguing with you. It's your wish and it's your dream. You know more about them than I do. Maybe your dream will indeed come true.
