Apple Birds photo of an apple |
Once upon a time there was a kind of bird called apple bird. Guess where they lived? Well, of course, they lived in apple trees. Far out! And what do you suppose they ate? Well, they ate apples and maybe sometimes pears, papayas and mangoes and berries. But mostly apples. And they didn't drink water at all. They would only drink fruit juice. And they liked cider the best. Of course! One time all the apple birds in the world went to Michigan together. They liked Michigan because there are good apples there. Two of the apple birds said "There are apples on Venus." And the others said "No! No! No!" They said "Too hot!" or "Too cold" or "That's silly!" or "Go away!" So those two apple birds looked at each other and laughed. And they flew straight up, away from the earth and towards Venus. The other apple birds just shook their heads and went back to eating apples. The two apple birds got to talking about apples as they flew. One of them lived in a Jonathan apple tree. The other lived in a Rachel Evan apple tree. When they got to Venus, they found they had wonderful apple orchards there. They were called space apple orchards. There were no apple birds living on Venus, but apple birds would come there to eat from all over the universe. Only they couldn't come unless they were space apple birds. Right? There were red apples and yellow apples like you have eaten. But there were also other colors such as:
blue ice apples
violet twighlight apples
black goodbye apples
white hello apples
orange tiger apples
There were many other kinds and shades of apples. The two birds made an apple net out of apple leaves and took some of every kind of apple back to Michigan. And they shared their rainbow of apples with the other apple birds. After that the apple birds went to Venus every year to eat apples of every color of the rainbow. The many colors of the apples made them love each other more. THE END |
