A Vision of Gaia

This is a vision of Gaia in the twenty first century.

Gaia

Gaia is the earth viewed as a living being. Gaia includes man, animals, plants, the atmosphere, oceans and the earth itself. This vision is of a world in dynamic harmony. This harmony is described here in terms of four broad area or domains.

Reason and Knowledge

There is a universal language and universal education. Everyone is educated in a basic core of knowledge including language, basic math and science, reasoning, and an understanding of cultural differences. There is a world information network available to everyone and a free flow of information.

It is common practice in politics, business and in personal interactions to speak truthfully and to act with integrity. There has been a breakthrough in the technology of communication which makes it possible for individuals and groups to solve their problems quickly and effectively.

There have also been breakthroughs in our understanding of the self, of life and of space and time.

Spirit and Peace

There is a spiritual awakening, with a shared sense of the oneness of man and all that is. People are largely free from arrogance, fear and greed.

There is a universal commitment to personal and global peace, and these are now a reality. There is a commitment to things working for everyone. People accept each other as they are. They have learned how to let go of attachment.

A profound communication exists with dolphins in both their language and ours. Antagonisms between opposites have been replaced by a dynamic harmony between men and women, east and west, north and south.

Practice and Abundance

There is unparalleled wealth. There is an abundance of power, good food, fresh water and other basic resources for all. The basic needs of all are satisfied. This includes food, water, shelter and health. War famine and overpopulation are no longer issues.

People have become effective at supporting each other. It is is the norm for each person to reach full potential.

People are confident and strong. They show respect for each other and they are responsible in their actions.

Art and Celebration

There is an appreciation of the diversity of different races, religions and cultures and of the uniquenes of each human being. Each year there are several celebrations involving all the people of the world.

People express themselves freely and spontaneously. The arts flourish.

There is a global awareness of the earth as a living being. There is a a love and appreciation of the earth, of animals, of plants, etc. There is a universal regard for the environment. Each year the earth becomes less polluted. Pollution is no longer a danger to the planet.

Dynamic Harmony and a Common Vision

There is a dynamic peace and harmony throughout the world with all, domains supporting each other and also flourishing in their own right. Some form of this vision is shared by all.
