about Peter Lee
|
"the Artist at the Lake" |
In warmer weather, you can often find Peter painting at the Lake, usually within a short distance of the colonnades. Or you might find him at the Grand Lake Neighborhood Center, where he sometimes teaches art. Peter is best known for his murals. He also does smaller paintings - oil and water color. Because of his strong presence around the Lake and his many murals and paintings of the Lake, he is sometimes referred to as "the Artist at the Lake". His murals can be found on the walls of many businesses in the Grand Lake area of Oakland. See Where to see Grand Lake Art. Peter's murals can also be found elsewhere. You can see a number of them at the Leaning Tower of Pizza on Wesley Avenue. |
