If your movie is in the main theatre and you are early, the curtain is still down when you get seated. Once you are settled there is an opportunity to look around. You have a chance to enjoy the curtains, the false opera boxes, the columns and much more.

If you could get up close to the curtains, you would discover they are even more beautiful than from a distant.

Likely, by the time you get home, you are much more aware of the movie you just saw than of the beautiful surroundings you watched it in. Perhaps, this is as it should be.
